Suzanne L. Weber

Suzanne L. Weber, M.B.A., is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Development Guild/DDI. Suzanne began her consulting work with a focus on planning and analysis, later using these planning approaches and tools to inform the development of the firm's fundraising and executive search services.

Over the past 25 years, Suzanne has led approximately 50 projects with over 100 clients, many of whom are return clients and significant friends of the firm. Her recent clients include Greater Boston Food Bank, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Forsyth Institute, Combined Jewish Philanthropies, Suffolk University and Weill Cornell Medical College.

In addition to her role as CEO, Suzanne's contributions to the firm have evolved since its inception. In the early 1980s, she contributed to Development Guild/DDI's first planning models, co-authoring "Long Range Planning: the First Cut" and "Real World Planning." In 1989, when Karen Lieberman-Daly joined Development Guild/DDI to build the firm's campaign and major gifts services, Suzanne worked with Ms. Lieberman-Daly on the firm's first feasibility study and capital campaign with Pine Street Inn. A decade ago, she, Dr. William Weber and Ms. Susan Bragg Meurer created the firm's approach to executive search services, which applies strategic planning and development expertise to the search process. These services have since grown to be one third of the firm's work.

Suzanne received her M.B.A. from Simmons School of Management in 1982. She feels her first training and early love of organizations came from working with her inventor father and her mother for their water treatment firm, Heller Labs. Prior to co-founding Development Guild/DDI, she was an educator.
