Brittany N. Shaff has been named the new AVP, Digital Engagement + Annual Giving for the University of Miami.
As the new AVP, Digital Engagement + Annual Giving for the University of Miami, Brittany will be building an integrated annual and digital engagement team and driving innovative tools and strategies to increase annual revenue and alumni engagement.
In this new role, Brittany will provide direction and expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating an annual giving program with an ultimate goal of greatly increasing the number of annual donors and amount of current use dollars raised through innovative giving and engagement strategies. Reporting to Erica Arroyo, Associate Vice President for Engagement, Brittany will lead a team charged with building a rapport with University of Miami constituents over time to establish a relationship that can be primed for solicitation. Collaborating across departments and senior leadership, Brittany will also create an engagement strategy for segments of constituents to grow their affinity, metric their online engagement, measure return on investment, and prepare them for a solicitation.
Brittany brings with her to UMiami deep experience designing and implementing integrated digital engagement programs for higher education institutions. Brittany comes to UMiami from the University of San Francisco where she led a 15-person team as the Associate Vice President, Development. Prior to this role, she led the strategy and execution of the thirty-five-unit annual giving program at Johns Hopkins University and Medicine as the Executive Director of Annual Giving. Her leadership experience in Annual Giving took off during her tenure as the Director, Annual Campaign and Founders Society at Towson University, where she oversaw annual giving for all five schools and athletics.
