Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) welcomes Cheryl Brodowski as its new Director, Gift Planning. Reporting to AMC’s Senior Director of Principal Gifts, Brian Schubmehl, Cheryl is responsible for overall strategic leadership and management of AMC’s planned giving program.
Cheryl brings over 17 years of nonprofit fundraising experience to AMC, joining the organization from the University of Vermont (UVM) Foundation where she served as Director of Legacy Giving. At the UVM Foundation, Cheryl was responsible for rebuilding and leading the planned giving program as well as managing a portfolio of major and planned giving prospects.
Prior to her work at the University of Vermont, Cheryl spent 4 years at the Kelly Brush Foundation where she crafted and executed the organization’s fundraising strategy to double annual revenue to almost $3M. Before the Kelly Brush Foundation, Cheryl spent a decade in higher education fundraising in roles of increasing responsibility where she focused on major gifts, planned gifts and annual giving.
Cheryl is excited to bring her fundraising experience and deep personal passions and values for outdoor spaces and recreational activities to AMC.
