The Aspen Institute is pleased to welcome Denise Tioseco Roehl as the new Director of Philanthropic Partnerships.
The Aspen Institute is an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC. As a nonpartisan forum for values-based leadership and the exchange of ideas, the Institute fosters leadership based on enduring values and provides a venue for dealing with complex social issues.
Three core tenets of the Institute’s work are: Ideas, Leadership, and Action, reflected in the following guiding principles:
- Spark intellectual inquiry and exchange, connecting new concepts to timeless values (Ideas)
- Create a diverse worldwide community of leaders committed to the greater good (Leadership)
- Provide a nonpartisan forum for reaching solutions on vital issues (Action)
Denise comes to the Institute from MIT where she served as Senior Leadership Giving Officer responsible for securing significant major gift support. Her experience also includes senior fundraising roles for the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the MIT Sloan School of Management. She has also volunteered on development committees for the Junior League of Boston and Kingsley Montessori School. In her new role at the Aspen Institute, Denise will report to Stephenie Maurer, Vice President for Institutional Advancement and will be responsible for managing a team charged with increasing major and principal gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
