CFES Brilliant Pathways is pleased to welcome Lori Kirch as the new Vice President for Development.
Lori joins CFES Brilliant Pathways from Albany Med Foundation in Albany, NY where she most recently served as executive director for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals programs and Albany Med’s signature events and has been fundraising since 2012. In this role, Lori provided comprehensive strategic fundraising direction by capitalizing on long-term development opportunities, prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition of donors, and volunteers. She led 6 annual signature event fundraising events and managed 35 national and local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partners raising over $3M per year and increased overall fundraising by 21.5%. Lori fostered a high-performing team of three, while also recruiting, training, and motivating over 450 volunteers per year. She also served as associate director of annual programs at Albany Med from 2009 to 2012 where she managed, designed, and strategized a creative, sustainable donor relations program to cultivate, solicit, steward and secure donations, exceeding the annual goal of $1M per year.
In her new role as Vice President for Development, Lori will grow CFES’ pool of major, corporate, foundation, and government donors, while serving as the primary fundraiser for the organization. Reporting to founder and CEO Rick Dalton, Lori will partner with Rick, the fundraising team, and the Board of Directors to open new doors, identify growth potential, and maximize fund development for the organization. Lori is excited to bring her experience at Albany Medical Center, and passion for supporting young people to CFES Brilliant Pathways.
About CFES Brilliant Pathways
Every student deserves a chance to have a bright future – no matter where they’re from, or what resources are available to them. For more than 30 years, CFES Brilliant Pathways (CFES) has worked with schools, colleges, and businesses to break down the barriers that so often discourage students from attending college or university by providing the resources and support to help students become college and career ready. Since its founding, CFES (College For Every Student) has worked with more than 100,000 young men and women—25,000 last year alone.
Partnering with educators in both cities and rural school districts, CFES achieves their mission by introducing students to mentors, enlisting corporate partners to give students a chance to expand their horizons, leading thousands of students a year on college and university visits, and providing the guidance and hands on support to complete the application and financial aid process. And the success rate is extraordinary as 90 percent of the CFES Scholars ultimately pursue a college education.
