The American University in Cairo (AUC) welcomes Nadine Okla as its new Director of Development. Nadine joins the North American development team responsible for all of AUC’s North American fundraising activity. In this role, Nadine will fundraise in California, Texas, and the surrounding region while managing a portfolio of donors and prospects. Nadine will also be responsible for identifying and pursuing new prospects; working with the Executive Director of Development to develop strategies for cultivating, soliciting, and closing gifts; and contributing to the stewardship of a high-quality donor experience.
An established development professional, Nadine brings 11+ years of fundraising experience to this position. Most recently, Nadine was the Director of Development, Annual Giving at New York University where she supervised a team of annual giving frontline fundraisers and support staff while managing a portfolio and working with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies for annual giving. Prior to her role at NYU, Nadine worked as the Director for Principal Gifts at the San Francisco Symphony and has also held positions at the University of California-Berkeley, Tomorrow’s Youth Organization-Lebanon, Skoun Lebanese Addictions Center, and YMCA-Lebanon.
