As Director of Development at the Arthritis Foundation, Tom identified and cultivated major gift prospects, corporate donors, and foundations across New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont to support the Foundation’s cause. He also managed and eld a team of fundraising professionals, while working closely with the Executive Director and Board on strategic direction and goals.
As Campaign Director at the Haverhill Public Library, Tom will be responsible for preparation, planning, goal setting, management, and implementation of the Library’s $5-7M campaign. Tom will lead a comprehensive assessment of the Library, and the campaign at hand, presenting recommendations for new goal setting, budgets, and milestones. He will also lead engagement and relationship building with foundations, corporations, and supporters of the Library, as they embark on an essential capital campaign. Tom is eager to join the Library team, contribute his development expertise, and let his passion for the Library’s mission shine through as he builds relationships with the Library’s growing community.
About Haverhill Public Library
The Haverhill Public Library represents the best in public-private partnerships. In 1873, a local philanthropist, E.J.M. Hale, donated land and half the money necessary to build the library, while the people of Haverhill donated the other half. The original library building opened on November 18, 1875. In 1969 and again in 1997, major library construction projects were made possible with public and private funds. Today, the Library serves as a focal point of the Haverhill community, committed to providing a range of services and programs from the traditional to the cutting edge, always innovating in ways that best serve diverse patrons and their needs. The Library offers essential services for Greater Haverhill with 2023’s attendance topping 150,000 visitors, more than 300,000 circulating items, and 32,615 cardholders in a city of 67,000. The building was open to the public 3,249 hours last year, making it the most accessible resource in the city. For more information about Haverhill Public Library please visit https://haverhillpl.org/
