The Opportunity and Who You’ll Work With

The Donor Strategy & Data Manager of WBUR Development manages and executes the overall development annual giving strategy as well as provides leadership guidance in campaign moves management. This role is responsible for managing our donor database, the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, and data analysis efforts: developing strategy recommendations, ensuring all donor records are complete and accurate and all gift data is recorded accurately and on a timely basis. The Manager is responsible for all database maintenance and reporting efforts, including regular data entry. 

The Manager will demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs and interests of donors and prospects, and be able to think strategically, offer creative solutions, and manage systems to continually grow and improve the donor experience. 

This highly collaborative role directly partners with the Development group and works with key members of the business office, external vendors, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills

Capabilities and Proficiencies

  • A strong belief in the mission of WBUR and the importance of public media.
  • Extensive experience working in and managing a variety of databases.
  • Comfortable analyzing data and presenting conclusions to guide strategy.
  • Previous experience and/or strong interest working in development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively work with key stakeholders, networks/partners, and team members.
  • Self-starter who can operate effectively in a collaborative environment, meet project deadlines and navigate ambiguity and influence stakeholders.  
  • Strong organizational skills (ability to prioritize, multi-task) and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Statement:

Targeting salary range of $70,000 – $85,000 based on experience and internal equity.
