The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will join Pine Street Inn as it builds upon the tremendous success of its $50 million campaign, which further solidified Pine Street’s nationally recognized reputation as a trailblazer in conquering homelessness. The SMGO will join a high-caliber individual giving program that reflects Pine Street’s culture, mission, goals, and bold strategic plan.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Major and Planned Giving, the SMGO will work collaboratively and transparently with the executive team, board members, senior leadership, staff, and volunteers to build on the momentum of the recently completed campaign and the renewed interest in social service. They will develop relationships with new prospects and take relationships with existing donors to the next level.
The successful candidate will be a strategic, creative team member who is visionary about Pine Street’s fundraising potential and who can support Pine Street’s vision for philanthropy while maximizing team results.
With knowledge of effective and best practice major gift strategies, including experience developing pipelines, the MGO will be a creative, ambitious, and dynamic team member. They will embrace technological and analytical solutions with a keen sense of what is possible and exhibit a level of excellence in communication and collaboration.
Managing a portfolio of approximately 150-200 prospects, the MGO will improve and extend relationships with donors and prospects in ways that have a quantifiable impact on philanthropic revenue. In addition, they will strategically develop new prospects through proactive outreach, accurately and passionately communicating the mission and values of PSI to current donors and prospects.

Supervision to be Received: The Major Gifts Officer will receive supervision from the Senior Director of Major and Planned Giving.
Location: 434 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118. This position is eligible for some remote work but will be required to work on-site and to travel to local meeting sites as a regular duty.
