Cole Sussman brings a deep appreciation for mission-driven work and a lifelong commitment to service to his role at Development Guild. His passion for the nonprofit sector was sparked during his internship in Congress, where he had the opportunity to meet with a wide range of nonprofit organizations and leaders. Those experiences reinforced his desire to pursue a career focused on helping people and strengthening communities.

Drawn to executive search for its people-centered mission and constant opportunities for learning, Cole approaches his work with curiosity, organization, and optimism. He’s known for staying positive under pressure, integrating multiple perspectives, and finding clarity amid complexity — always with a focus on meaningful impact.

A New England native, Cole earned distinction in Political Science from Kenyon College, where he also completed the prestigious Stennis Internship Program, a bipartisan initiative recognizing outstanding Congressional interns. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring local landmarks, reading long fantasy and science fiction series, and spending time with his dog, Gracie.
