Cancer Research Institute (CRI) is pleased to welcome Brian Leidy as Chief Development Officer.
Brian joins CRI after eight years at SCO Family of Services where he most recently held the role of Vice President, Institutional Advancement. There, he served as a member of the agency’s executive council and managed a department of 8 staff in all areas of fundraising that includes individual giving, corporate giving, foundation grants, special events and government RFPs. Brian has over 27 years of experience in development, including roles at China Institute, Brooklyn Public Library, and Good Shepherd Hospital.
In his new role of Chief Development Officer, Brian will lead development for CRI, providing strategic leadership and direction to a comprehensive program that includes major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, annual giving, and planned giving. Working to deepen engagement with constituency groups and drive broader awareness and philanthropic support for the organization, Brian will also implement sustainable systems that enhance and measure productivity. Brian will report to Dr. Jill O’Donnell-Tormey, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Scientific Affairs and will also work closely with other members of the senior management team.
