Development Guild has been our trusted partner for well over 20 years. We have worked together on two successful fundraising campaigns – and are now launching our third, and most ambitious, campaign together. We have also partnered on numerous searches for C-suite and fundraising staff. Their understanding of our culture, deep marketplace knowledge and access to top candidates has resulted in new staff who have an impact on day-one. Much like Pine Street, Development Guild strives for excellence.
At the start of the partnership, Year Up’s development team consisted of 30 staff, was raising $20M annually and was in the midst of a $55M campaign. Since then, we have completed 10+ development searches for Year Up. Today, the development team consists of around 70 staff, raises $80M annually and recently closed a $240M capital campaign. Furthermore, Year Up now serves young adults in 28 locations across the country, 22 more than when we started our partnership.
We have recruited 50+ team members for the Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, ranging from fundraising leadership positions to senior major, principal, and corporate/foundation officers, along with a number of key operations roles. When we began our partnership, the development team had about 30 staff members and the Trust was preparing to launch a $200M capital campaign. Today, Children’s Hospital Trust employs over 130 development staff and its current campaign, Dream Dare Deliver, is anticipated to raise $1.3B. It is the largest children’s hospital campaign in the country.
I have retained Development Guild to recruit key staff positions for successful campaigns at three different academic medical institutions. For each engagement, we could count on their understanding of complex systems, creativity, ability to accurately assess candidates, and unwavering commitment to successful outcomes.
