The International Institute of New England (IINE) is pleased to welcome Alexa Drolette as Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts. In her new role, Alexa will lead and elevate IINE’s individual and major giving portfolio and manage the individual giving team. She will be responsible for developing, socializing, and executing strategies to build a robust pipeline of individual donors and prospects focused primarily on principal and major gift levels and for developing multi-tier giving societies.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, Alexa will be an integral member of IINE’s leadership and will work closely with both the Senior Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer and the Chief Executive Officer to steward donors and prospects and to coordinate solicitation. Alexa will also forge strong relationships with supporters of IINE, particularly at the Board and Leadership Council level.
Alexa brings a deep and comprehensive understanding of nonprofit fundraising with expertise in managing and building individual and major giving programs. She most recently worked as Director of Development and Communications at Lowell Community Charter Public School, where she served as lead fundraiser and communications specialist with a focus on their ongoing Build to Learn capital campaign. Prior to this role, she had been at Project Bread since 2014 holding several development positions throughout her tenure. Her final role at Project Bread was Senior Director of Development, Individual Giving where she led the strategy and management of the individual giving, corporate, and peer to peer event fundraising. Alexa raised more than $5M annually and successfully grew individual giving from $1.8M in 2020 to $4M by prioritizing the retention of COVID emergency donors. Alexa will bring experience in advocacy and awareness for the immigrant and refugee community along with a great energy and enthusiasm to this role.
