The Huntington is excited to welcome Alexandra Breland as its new Individual Giving Officer. Bringing her expertise in developing major gifts programs, development communications, and donor and board engagement, Alexandra will help to broaden and deepen relationships with current and prospective individual donors for operations, special projects, and Phase II of the Campaign for the New Huntington.
Alexandra joins the Huntington from her role as the Director of Development at Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC), where she managed all activities and staff of the Development Department and participated in strategic and financial leadership of the organization. In her time at Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Alexandra grew membership to the major giving program by 25%, grew Board membership by 24%, and executed a Founder’s Circle Campaign for a new CSC program, exceeding the major giving goal.
As the new Individual Giving Officer, Alexandra will play an important role in broadening and deepening relationships with current and prospective major donors for operations, special projects, and Phase II of the Campaign for the New Huntington. Reporting to the Director of Development, Alexandra will be responsible for actively managing a robust portfolio of individual gift prospects and donors, and will work closely with Huntington leadership to develop a compelling donor acquisition and upgrade strategy to support the necessary growth of philanthropy from individuals. Alexandra is excited to bring her fundraising experience and passion for theatre arts to The Huntington at such an exciting time for the organization.
