In this role, Andrea will be responsible for the design and implementation of short-range and long-range strategies for raising funds to support ICL’s mission, with a particular focus on building an individual giving program. As the COVID-19 pandemic has created an urgent demand for ICL services, Andrea will lead the organization’s commitment to substantially increase the amount of private funding they receive to sustain scale and growth across programs. She will report to Sam Miller, the Chief External Relations Officer while working closely with the CEO, the Board of Directors, and senior program staff. Andrea will also oversee the development team.
Andrea joins ICL with over 14 years of experience in human and community service focused organizations. She brings a demonstrated record of soliciting and securing significant support from individual and institutional donors and foundations, success working with Board members, and extensive experience building a development operation. Andrea also brings deep expertise in directing the strategy and growth of emerging individual giving programs.
Most recently, Andrea led the development team at Girls Inc. of New York City (GINYC), where she grew the individual giving pipeline significantly through a range of donor acquisition and engagement strategies. Prior to GINYC, Andrea managed an individual giving portfolio at Columbia University. Before Columbia, Andrea held progressive leadership positions at The Temple of Understanding. Andrea had an earlier career in book publishing, where she held progressive leadership roles. Andrea applies her expertise in strategy, storytelling, and relationship cultivation to all her fundraising work. ICL looks forward to welcoming Andrea to the team beginning January 11, 2021.
