
Annelise Conway
The New Bedford Whaling Museum is pleased to announce the appointment of Annelise Conway as its new Chief Engagement Officer.
As Chief Engagement Officer, Annelise will provide leadership and oversight across marketing, communications, public programs, digital engagement, and visitor experience. She will be responsible for all outreach and engagement efforts, ensuring the Museum is seen and experienced as a dynamic destination.
Annelise joins the Museum from the New England Aquarium, where she served as Director of Development. In that role, she was a key member of the leadership team, helping to execute a range of strategies to support organizational growth. Previously, Annelise served as Director of Development & External Relations at the Providence Children’s Museum, where she led all marketing, communications, development, and external relations efforts. Prior to that, Annelise served in various roles within philanthropy, marketing, and communications at non-profit and for-profit institutions including PwC, Portland Museum of Art, Fred Hutch Cancer Center, and Milton Academy.
Annelise steps into this newly created role to drive audience growth and deepen the Museum’s connections to the community as it embarks on an exciting next phase its history with a new $30+M expansion to create a new Welcome & Exhibition Center.
