WBUR is pleased to welcome Ashton Harding as a new Senior Leadership Gift Officer. Ashton joins WBUR from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she worked as a Leadership Giving Officer. At MIT, Ashton identified, cultivated, solicited, and stewarded prospects and donors with the capacity to make gifts of $100,000 and more to the Institute. Additionally, Ashton collaborated with deans, academic heads, faculty, and ambassadors across departments to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising and relationship management.
In her new role as Senior Leadership Gift Officer, Ashton will report to the Director of Development and work closely with the CEO to manage a portfolio of leadership annual fund and campaign gifts with an emphasis on five-, six- and seven-figure donors. Further, Ashton will identify and cultivate prospective donors and develop solicitation and stewardship strategies in coordination with WBUR’s development team.
Ashton is excited to bring her love for WBUR’s journalism and programming to the team.
