Haverhill Public Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Cecily Craighill Davis as its new Campaign Director. With 20+ years’ experience in fundraising and strategic development, the Library is excited to have Cecily spearhead the upcoming $3-5M capital campaign. Cecily brings a wealth of expertise from her years in advancement, where she has proven her ability to foster authentic relationships, implement strategic fundraising initiatives, and mobilize community support around a mission.
Most recently, Cecily led alumni engagement at The Fletcher School at Tufts University, overseeing engagement, activities, and programs for 10,000+ alumni in 144 countries, including regional and affinity clubs, global symposia, webinars, panels, lectures, volunteer opportunities, reunions, and more. She also collected and assessed data to develop strategic plans and metrics to identify and upgrade potential prospects for fundraising efforts.
She also brings experience as the Director of Alumni Programs at Buckingham Brown and Nichols School, where she restructured and rebuilt a dormant alumni council, recruiting a diverse slate of new members and creating a new model that would support BB&N’s effort to exceed fundraising goals and better achieve the school’s mission. Prior to these roles, Cecily also excelled in positions with the Emory University School of Law, Wake Forest University, the University of Virgina Center for Politics, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
As Campaign Director, Cecily will lead the planning, goal setting, and execution of the Library’s capital campaign, working closely with the Trustees to ensure its success. She will cultivate donor relationships, oversee fundraising strategies, and engage with the community to secure the necessary funding for vital renovations and expansions. Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of Haverhill Public Library, ensuring it remains a cornerstone of knowledge, innovation, and community engagement for years to come.
