
Christina Camardella
The New School is delighted to announce the appointment of Christina Camardella as its next Assistant Vice President for Alumni & Community Engagement. With more than 15 years of experience in advancement, Christina brings proven expertise in alumni and community engagement, fundraising, volunteer leadership, event management, and strategic communications.
Christina joins The New School from Sarah Lawrence College, where she most recently served as Senior Director of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving. During her six-year tenure, she led a dynamic team serving more than 20,000 alumni and delivered record-breaking results in engagement and philanthropy, including the College’s most successful year of annual giving. A thoughtful and collaborative leader, Christina is known for building strong relationships and fostering a culture of trust, transparency, and shared purpose. She has revitalized alumni councils, expanded volunteer networks, and partnered with institutional leaders to advance high-profile initiatives with lasting impact.
Christina is inspired by The New School’s mission and its long-standing commitment to progressive education, civic engagement, and inclusive community-building. These values have guided her work throughout her career. In this new role, she will lead a unified and strategic approach to strengthening connections among all constituencies, working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the institution.
