The YMCA of Greater Hartford welcomes Howard Goodrow as its new Chief Development Officer (CDO). As CDO, Howard will develop the Y’s fundraising strategies and implement programs focused on major gifts, corporate and foundation grants annual fund, special events, planned gifts and a future capital campaign. In addition to supporting the President/CEO’s fundraising efforts and working closely with the Association Board and volunteers, Howard will provide leadership and oversight to the Y’s development team and support the regional branches in their development efforts.
Prior to joining the YMCA of Greater Hartford, Howard spent more than18 years with the American Cancer Society, most recently as Senior Director of Corporate Relations. Earlier roles included Senior Director of National Business Development and Senior Operations Vice President for Development. Howard brings a strong background in development including corporate giving and sponsorship; planned gifts, special events, business development, individual major gifts and foundation grants.
Howard received his B.S. from the College of St. Joseph and his M.B.A. from Plymouth State College
