Fountain House is pleased to welcome Jonathan Staunch as its new Senior Director, Major Gifts.
Jonathan joins Fountain House from Covenant House International where he served as Vice President, Key Relationships. While at Covenant House International, Jonathan led the major giving team responsible for raising over $7m annually. Additionally, Jonathan played a critical role in the organization’s successful $50m “Our Great Promise” capital campaign. Prior to Covenant House International, Jonathan worked as Director of Development at Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, and as Senior Director, Major Giving at National Multiple Sclerosis Society before that.
In his new role, Jonathan will report to the Chief Development Officer, Kevin Taylor, and be responsible for managing and growing Fountain House’s individual giving program with a focus on securing new major gifts. Building on the momentum of Fountain House’s recent fundraising successes, he will work to develop a large-scale major gifts program to attract new donors, retain existing donors, and renew lapsed donors, and will actively work to introduce new donors with major gift capacity to the important work of Fountain House. Jonathan is excited to bring his appreciation of mental health awareness and public health to Fountain House.
About Fountain House
Fountain House is a national mental health nonprofit fighting to improve health, increase opportunity, and end social and economic isolation for people living with serious mental illness.
Fountain House takes a public health approach to serious mental illness, addressing both the health and social needs of their members in their Mental Health Clubhouses. Social Practice, Fountain House’s therapeutic model, uses intentional community and the social environment to help people recover from mental illness. Members take steps in reclaiming their agency and dignity, with access to clinical support, housing, and care management. Fountain House’s College Re-Entry and young adult programming focuses on early intervention and prevention of isolation and its health, social and economic effects. Its policy and advocacy work are shaping a national mental health policy agenda, from the response to mental health emergencies, to addressing systemic barriers that people with serious mental illness face every day.
