Boston Children’s Hospital Trust is delighted to announce that Julie Warsowe will be joining as Director of Trust Staff Development and Engagement.
Julie comes to the Trust from Harvard University, where she manages staff development for 375+ as the Associate Director of Training and Education at the Office of Alumni Relations and Development. In this role, Julie develops and facilitates workshops and learning communities on a multitude of topics including leadership development, customer service, communication, and fundraising. Her many accomplishments at Harvard include co-creating and managing a training program for Managers, helping to establish a group focused around issues in diversity and inclusion, and managing a digital platform used by 1000 staff. Julie has 14 years of training and education experience, including past roles at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the Arnold Arboretum at Harvard University. Julie has a B.A. in American Studies from Wesleyan University and earned an M.A. in Public Garden Leadership from Cornell University.
In this Director role, Julie will lead the Trust’s staff training, professional development and engagement programs, encompassing onboarding, skill-specific training, professional and leadership development, team-building, and staff recognition and celebration initiatives. Her programs are meant to increase staff effectiveness and retention, in service of the Trust goal to be the workplace of choice within Boston-area (and beyond) fundraising landscape.
