Project SAGE is thrilled to welcome Kristen van Ginhoven as its new Executive Director at a momentous time in the organization’s history.
With over 20 years of management, relationship-building, and fundraising experience, Kristen is passionate about creating social change and is inspired by Project SAGE’s mission and potential for growth. She looks forward to deepening and expanding awareness of Project SAGE’s programs in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut and beyond.
Most recently, as Producing Artistic Director & Founder of WAM Theatre in Lenox, Massachusetts, Kristen worked at the intersection of arts and activism, producing and directing plays that focused on issues affecting those who self-identify as women and girls. During her tenure, WAM also donated $100,000 to 25 local and global organizations that work toward gender equity in areas such as girls’ education, teen pregnancy prevention, gender-based violence, sexual-trafficking awareness, midwife training, and more.
When not working, Kristen enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking and meditating, learning new things, serving as a monthly panelist on WAMC’s award winning talk program, The Roundtable, and attending arts and cultural events in the Berkshires, where she resides.
In her new role at Project SAGE, Kristen will collaborate with a highly engaged Board of Directors and a committed staff to provide vision and overall leadership, as she works to plan, implement, and evaluate the educational programs and client services of Project SAGE in accordance with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
