Louisa Glynne

Derby Academy is excited to welcome Louisa Glynne as the school’s first Major Gifts Officer. With 10+ years of development experience and a proven track record in managing portfolios of major gifts, Louisa will bring best practices and a background in the education sector to deepen engagement and philanthropy among Derby Academy’s parents, alumni, volunteers, and friends.

Louisa is joining Derby Academy from Colgate University, where she most recently served as Regional Advancement Director. In this position, Louisa worked with a pool of 140 prospects, including alumni, parents, and friends throughout the Southeast to build and raise philanthropic support for the school. Previously, she also served as Leadership Giving Officer at MIT, raising over $5M for the Department of Biological Engineering in partnership with leadership, faculty, and development colleagues. She brings additional individual giving experience from positions at Tufts University and Harvard University.

As the new Major Gifts Officer, Louisa will manage a portfolio of alumni, parents, volunteers, and friends, and will help to build an engaging alumni relations program. She will support the Derby Council and develop new strategies to expand the current base of philanthropic support in partnership with the Development Team. Louisa is excited to bring her major gifts expertise and passion for education to Derby Academy, and to build relationships with the vibrant school community.
