Development Guild DDI is pleased to announce that Lynn Page Flaherty will be joining the Friends of the Public Garden as the first Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs.
In this role, Lynn will lead the advancement and communications team and serve as a close thought partner to the President, Liz Vizza. She will also be instrumental in leading the organization’s Board and leadership to success in their 50th Anniversary Campaign. In addition to building the advancement program and strategy to support campaign efforts, Lynn will oversee the elevation of the Friends branding and public messaging and efforts to grow membership, and at times serve as an external spokesperson for the organization.
Lynn joins the Friends with over 20 years of experience in education and human service focused organizations. She brings with her a demonstrated record of soliciting and securing significant support from donors, success working closely with Board members, and deep expertise in directing the strategy and operations of advancement and communications staff teams. Most recently Lynn consulted for Marts and Lundy, after working for Make-A-Wish as the Chief Development Officer overseeing a $6.5M annual fundraising budget and a team of 6. Prior, Lynn held progressive leadership roles at Notre Dame Academy, rising to the Chief Advancement Officer position where she oversaw external relations and managed advancement and enrollment. The Friends looks forward to welcoming Lynn to the team beginning November 23, 2020.
