CancerCare is pleased to welcome Naomi Guzman-Bensdon as Assistant Director of Individual Giving. Naomi will play a key role in the advancement of the Individual Giving team’s initiatives, including increasing and diversifying its funding, an integral component of CancerCare’s philanthropic revenue, while also supporting other key focus areas.
Naomi will report to the Senior Director of Philanthropy and will be responsible for successfully managing a donor prospect list, serving as the liaison to CancerCare’s direct response partner, and supporting CancerCare’s Young Professionals Committee and its annual fundraising event. Specifically, she will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of approximately 100-120 mid-range annual giving and planned giving prospects and donors. In addition, she will support the Senior Director of Philanthropy, and Leadership through the development of individual giving proposals and subsequent reports on revenue and goal achievements.
Naomi brings over 6 years of nonprofit experience in various roles including events, operations, and individual giving. She most recently worked as Senior Manager of Individual Giving and Special Events for the Red Hook Initiative; prior to that, she held positions with America-Israel Cultural Foundation and Kaufman Music Center. Naomi is excited to be joining CancerCare and looks forward to leveraging her skills managing multiple priorities.
