Steve Benskin has been placed as Associate Director of Planned Giving For The Salvation Army, Massachusetts Division, Canton, MA.

The Development Guild is pleased to announce that Steve Benskin will be joining The Salvation Army, Massachusetts Division as their Associate Director of Planned Giving. In this role, Steve will work closely with the major gifts department to lead the area of western and central Massachusetts in planned giving. Steve will work under the direct supervision of the Divisional Director of Planned Giving, Meredith Johnson, while cultivating and completing both irrevocable and revocable planned gifts.

Steve brings significant experience in all major areas of planned giving and has a proven record of successfully working with donors in every region of the country. Most recently, he has held the position of Gift Planning Manager for Youth Villages in Memphis, TN and in Boston, MA. Steve secured outright gifts, worked with supporters on sizable bequests, gifts of real estate, insurance, retirement plans, trusts and he served as a resource on the complexities of planned gifts. Prior to Youth Villages, Steve worked as the Senior Philanthropic Advisor, Gift and Estate Planning at ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. While at St. Jude, Steve Managed a portfolio of donors and prospects and surpassed set goals by 50%. Steve is a driven development officer who brings 18 years of experience with him to The Salvation Army.
