Development Guild DDI is pleased to announce that Victoria McKay will be joining the team at Massachusetts Historical Society (MHS) as the first Associate Director of Development.
As Associate Director of Development, Victoria will be an integral member of a rapidly growing Development team preparing for a future comprehensive campaign. Reporting to Maureen Nguyen, the Vice President of Development, Victoria will oversee the day to day operations and manage a team of 3 staff raising funds from members, donors, foundations and corporate supporters.
Victoria joins the MHS with over 12 years of experience in membership based cultural institutions and small museums, 8 years of which were focused on development and operational oversight. Victoria was most recently with Boston Society of Architects (BSA) as the Managing Director of Advancement. In this role she worked to strengthen the existing program and implemented new annual appeals, a planned giving program, and first-time events, as well as led their first individual major giving campaign. Prior to BSA, Victoria led the Nichols House Museum as Executive Director where she honed her strategic leadership, staff management experience, and entrepreneurial instinct. Victoria was first introduced to fundraising in her role as Special Projects Manager to the CEO at the Peabody Essex Museum, where she led strategic projects focused on revenue building and museum expansion. The MHS looks forward to welcoming Victoria to the team beginning November 9, 2020.
