We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and highly organized Director of Content Marketing to lead the development and execution of digital marketing and content strategies that build brand awareness, generate leads, and deepen engagement across the firm’s core Fundraising, Executive Search and BIG Question services. This role will own and manage the firm’s content ecosystem, elevating the firm’s presence across LinkedIn and other social platforms, the Development Guild website, the BIG Question show on Lobsta, and other channels.
This is a full-time remote position, to work with an all-remote team. Position reports directly to the Vice President of Information Systems & Operations. Salary range for this position is $100,000-$115,000 along with a complete package of benefits.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated content and social media strategies that strengthen brand visibility, engagement, and participation across Development Guild’s services
- Lead the video production and editing of high-quality promotional, thought leadership, interview, testimonial, and event video content across digital channels
- Develop and manage compelling social media content that showcases the firm’s expertise, consultants, client impact, placements, events, and the firm’s services, including the BIG
Question show
- Plan and execute integrated digital campaigns, including LinkedIn advertising, conference campaigns, and email marketing through HubSpot
- Develop, edit, and publish strategic website content, including case studies, client stories, thought leadership, and service-related content
- Create polished, on-brand visual assets for social media, conferences, campaigns, and client-facing materials
- Capture and leverage content from conferences and events to enhance brand visibility and showcase the firm’s expertise and consultants
- Analyze content and social media performance, deliver actionable reporting, and apply insights to continuously strengthen content strategy and engagement
- Collaborate with marketing, operations and consulting branches of firm to fully understand the business and to incorporate that into the content strategy
Qualifications
- Experience in content marketing, video production, digital marketing, social media, or a related field
- Proven ability to develop and execute content and digital marketing strategies while managing hands-on production; strong portfolio with excellent examples of social media content
- Strong video production, editing, graphic design, writing, and storytelling skills
- Demonstrated expertise in LinkedIn and social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement
- Experience with Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, WordPress, and digital analytics tools preferred
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders
- Experience leveraging AI and LLM platforms to enhance content creation, editing and proofreading, research, data analysis, and marketing workflows, with strong judgment around accuracy, quality, and brand voice
- Understanding of the nonprofit sector and how to market content to that audience
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and produce content consistently
- Strong writing skills, editorial judgment, and ability to clearly write and articulate complex concepts in simple terms
- Highly creative, organized, detailed-oriented, and collaborative, works with team daily
