Veronika Trufanova joins Emerald Necklace Conservancy as Director of Development and External Relations

December, 2017

The Emerald Necklace Conservancy (the Conservancy) is pleased to welcome Veronika (Nika) Trufanova as its new Director of Development and External Relations. Nika enters this role with more than 10 years of development experience in arts and culture, most recently as the Director of Institutional Partnerships at Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. There, Nika set the museum’s strategy for corporate, foundation, and government philanthropy while managing a robust personal portfolio. Prior to the Asian Art Museum, Nika spent five years at the Harvard Art Museums in membership and development.

At the Conservancy, Nika will manage a comprehensive development program including annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, communications, and events and marketing. She will be an important member of the senior leadership team, working closely with President Karen Mauney-Brodek to bring vision and creativity to a growing organization.

The Emerald Necklace Conservancy is a private, non-partisan, stewardship organization that maintains, protects and revitalizes the Emerald Necklace park system, a historic park landscape which provides significant environmental, health, educational and recreational benefits for park users, visitors and residents of greater Boston. The Conservancy undertakes maintenance and capital restoration projects, provides education, youth and visitor programs, offers free cultural events, and advocates for increased park access. The Conservancy connects people and parks and conserves the Emerald Necklace through projects and programs that enrich the visitor experience and restore and renew the landscape.
