How UMass Memorial Foundation’s ambitious campaign and leadership are securing a promising future for the School & Medical Center

The UMass Memorial Foundation is the fundraising arm of the UMass Medical School and the UMass Medical Center which includes two community member hospitals. In 2009, Development Guild DDI provided fundraising planning counsel in the early stages of UMass Memorial’s $250M capital campaign. The Pathways of Promise Campaign supports research, teaching & learning and community & global health initiatives at UMass Medical School.  Since 2010, Development Guild DDI has provided counsel to two Vice Chancellors of Advancement on major gift strategy and campaign planning. As of March 30, 2019, the Campaign has raised $262M, exceeding its goals by $12M and still going strong! The Campaign will continue through FY 2020. We are currently conducting an Assessment of UMass Memorial’s primary fundraising leadership group, the UMM Advancement Council, to prepare the Council for post-campaign fundraising. In addition to fundraising counsel, we recruited the Executive Director for Advancement at UMass Medical Center, a new position developed to provide dedicated Advancement leadership to the Medical Center and its member affiliates.
