As the new Director of Advancement, Bob will work closely with Chris Cheney, Head of School and the Board of Trustees, serve on the Executive Team, and play a pivotal role in enhancing the Kents Hill student experience through philanthropy. In addition to leading the philanthropic efforts at a strategic level, Bob will also manage a high-level portfolio of major donors and prospects and build and oversee an advancement team.
Bob is joining Kents Hill School with more than 20 years of development experience, much of which has been focused on working with staff and volunteer leadership to grow philanthropic programs and build capacity. As the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at William James College, Bob increased philanthropic contributions significantly and partnered with college leadership and the Board to increase school visibility. Prior to his time at William James College, Bob created and led a team for Online Computer Literacy Inc. charged with developing a national grants program. He also spent more than nine years at Lyndon State College as Dean of Institutional Advancement where Bob built and managed a team of 13, served on the Executive Team, and led the school through a $10M+ campaign, exceeding any other campaign in Vermont State College history. Bob brings to Kents Hill deep experience in advancement for educational institutions, demonstrated campaign strategy, and a record of building and strengthening advancement programs and teams.
