Cheshire Academy is pleased to welcome Henry “Joe” Long, as Chief Advancement Officer. Joe joins Cheshire Academy from America International College, where he served as Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement. In this role, Joe oversaw the advancement team, managed a portfolio of major and planned gift prospects, and served on the President’s Cabinet. Prior to working at American International College, Joe served as Executive Director of Development, Libraries, at UMass Amherst and had senior fundraising and engagement roles at Springfield College and Plymouth State.
In his new role as Chief Advancement Officer, Joe will report to the Head of School and will provide the strategic vision for all aspects of the school’s fundraising activities, lead a team of five, and serve on the school’s senior leadership team. Additionally, Joe will partner with the Head of School and Trustees in leading a $15 million capital campaign to support campus improvements.
