With a national alumni, parent and annual donor base, she will focus on the cultivation and solicitation of high level major and capital donors towards Choate’s campaign goals and beyond. Reporting directly to Heather Cordes, Kiersten will also be contributing to a collaborative, collegial environment with a high achieving and warm development team. Kiersten is looking forward to designing and implementing strategies that achieve campaign goals while also building numbers of prospects, donors, and engagement programs for long term expansion of Choate’s philanthropic capacity.
Kiersten comes to Choate with 7 years of frontline fundraising experience at The Gunnery School, where she developed and grew her knowledge of independent school advancement and major gift fundraising best practices. Prior to her career in advancement, Kiersten held a variety of progressive frontline roles in sales and relationship/client management, where she discovered her penchant for building deep relationships, rapport, and trust. She is looking forward to elevating her major gift experience by focusing more narrowly on a high-level portfolio and closing significant gifts towards Choate’s philanthropic priorities.
