PEER is excited to welcome Linden Mueller as the organization’s new Director of Development and Communications. Linden brings the leadership, strategic thinking, and appreciation for the environmental donor community needed to elevate PEER’s development and communications efforts.
Linden joins PEER with a strong track record in development and communications, most recently serving as Director of Development and Outreach at the Great Rivers Environmental Law Center. While there, she joyfully built and sustained relationships with major donors, crafted and executed successful fundraising strategies, and managed external communication efforts. Highlights of her tenure included the launch of a planned giving society, leading the organization’s largest signature fundraiser, and securing enduring business sponsorships.
In her new role as DODC at PEER, Linden will be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive development strategy, overseeing donor relations, managing grant applications, and expanding revenue sources, including the growth of PEER’s major giving and legacy giving programs. She will also lead their communications strategy, enhancing donor communications, public relations efforts, and visibility through digital platforms and the media. As a member of the senior leadership team, she will collaborate closely with Executive Director, Tim Whitehouse, to ensure messaging aligns with PEER’s mission objectives and strengthens the organization’s voice.
Linden is excited to bring her development and communications expertise, as well as her passion for environmental protection to the organization to help support PEER’s timely and important work.
About PEER
PEER supports current and former public employees who seek a higher standard of environmental ethics and scientific integrity within their agencies. They do this by defending whistleblowers, shining the light on improper or illegal government actions, working to improve laws and regulations, and supporting the work of other organizations.
All PEER’s services are provided pro bono, without charge. Through PEER, public servants can choose to work as “anonymous activists” so that public agencies must confront the message, rather than the messenger.
PEER protects public employees who protect the environment. They are a service organization for environmental and public health professionals, land managers, scientists, enforcement officers and other civil servants dedicated to upholding environmental laws and values. They work with current and former federal, state, local and tribal employees.
