Fairfield University welcomes Randi Kois Hanvey as their new Director of Prospect Research and Management. Randi brings over 20 years of development and prospect research expertise in the higher education and international development nonprofit sectors. Randi looks forward to collaborating and building trusting relationships with Fairfield’s fundraising team and utilizing her expertise in advancement services to enhance her contributions and the culture of philanthropy as a leader in University Advancement.
Most recently, Randi served as Director of Advancement Services and Prospect Research at Iona University. Working closely with the Advancement Department, and internal and external stakeholders, Randi provided innovative research and analytics to support the University’s fundraising activities and priorities. Based on an overhaul of Iona’s data, Randi designed and implemented an engagement and moves management strategy to address Iona’s constituent’s needs. Her ability to train and establish buy-in across the engagement team, annual giving, and major gift officers gave her colleagues ownership and investment in their work and yielded results.
In her prior role as Director of Institutional Advancement Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she supported the Institutional Advancement Department by identifying new prospect donors from print sources, electronic media, prospect screenings, and collaborated with institutional advancement fundraisers and staff on proactive cultivation and solicitation strategies.
Reporting to Nathan Gregoire, Fairfield’s Associate Vice President of Advancement Operations & Campaign Director, Randi will be an integral member of the Advancement team at Fairfield University and will play a vital role in campaign planning activities. Managing a team of two, Randi will implement, and manage the prospect research and management program and will leverage innovative analytics to maximize the potential of the University’s overall prospect pipeline to ensure the success of a future campaign and all fundraising efforts.
