Stan Retif has been placed as the new Director of Advancement For The Salvation Army, Eastern PA / DE Division, Philadelphia, PA.
Development Guild is pleased to announce that Stan Retif will be joining The Salvation Army (TSA), Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware (PenDel) Division as their Director of Advancement. Reporting to the Divisional Commander, Lt. Colonel Larry Ashcraft, Stan will lead all elements of the Divisional Development Department, including fund raising, public relations, marketing and advertising, social media, volunteerism and board engagement, and will serve as a key member of the PenDel leadership team.
Throughout his career, Stan has demonstrated his commitment to working with organizations that serve to help those in need. Stan comes to The Salvation Army from the IEEE Foundation, located in Piscataway, NJ, where he served as Chief Development Officer. Previously, he served as the VP for Development and Communications at Elwyn, and as VP for Development and Communications at Wood Services Foundation. Stan also has many years of experiences working as Secretary of External Affairs at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and as Executive Director of Development at the Archdiocese of New Orleans. He is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and is currently a member of the International Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), on the Governmental Relations Council.

The Salvation Army USA operates across four territories: Western, Central, Southern and Eastern USA. The PenDel division is part of the Eastern Territory; in this division there are 51 community centers, 163 volunteer service centers, residential programs, and The Salvation Army Camp Ladore Retreat and Conference Center. There are more than 120 commissioned Salvation Army officers and nearly 1,200 employees. In 2018, TSA provided more 320,000 meals and over 104,000 nights of lodging across Pennsylvania, and more than 488,000 people were served through its community center programs.
