Our President Bill Weber taking it all in!

On Sunday, July 15 to Tuesday, July 17, our President Bill Weber attended the CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) Summit for Leaders in Advancement in New York City. This annual conference brings together higher-education advancement professionals to engage in discussion about the future of advancement. Keynote speakers included Mike Bloomberg, Founder of Bloomberg Philanthropies and former mayor of New York City; Ron Daniels, President of John Hopkins University; Mary Sue Coleman, the President of the Association of American Universities; and Fareed Zakaria, columnist and CNN host.

The expert presenters at the Summit provided an insider perspective on how the institution, and its leadership and internalization, are currently viewed by the public and how it can navigate complex contemporary issues, such as the digital disruption and a greater push for inclusion. Attendees discussed the challenges they are currently facing, including the high cost of tuition and a decline in alumni participation, as well their hopes for the future of higher education.

Summit attendees enjoy the presentations

Our President, Bill Weber, appreciated the opportunity to meet with many higher education peers and engage in a variety of thoughtful, timely conversations about the great advancement opportunities within higher education.

We deeply value and support the critical role CASE plays in helping educational institutions fulfill their missions.
