How Regis College’s $40M campaign increased enrollment and evolved their programs, securing the College’s future in an ever-changing high education landscape

Regis College, a leading Catholic co-ed university in Greater Boston, has provided students with a highly personalized, challenging academic experience for nearly 100 years – and is one of the Commonwealth’s leading educators in nursing and health sciences. When we began our engagement with Regis in 2012, the College was proposing its first capital campaign in more than 30 years. Like many small colleges, it was imperative that Regis ensure that this campaign was designed to strengthen enrollment and provide financial sustainability. Further, they needed to educate their alumni base about the ways that the College was holding to the values of the Sisters of St. Joseph while at the same time adapting to a changing landscape of higher education; and they needed to inspire the Board of Trustees to become fundraising and engagement partners.

The strategic design of their campaign and its priorities has led to a strengthened business plan and ultimately, a significantly more secure financial future for the College. Six years later, the Now We Fly campaign has raised $36 million of the $40 million goal and is slated to close by year end. Most important, enrollment is solid and professional education programs are thriving.
