what's new?

Since January, Development Guild/DDI has been partnering with International Relief and Development (IRD) in the DC area to support its fundraising for Haitian earthquake relief. The work has been fruitful and the impact in Haiti overwhelming. Millions of dollars and supplies are now at work in rebuilding Haiti 's infrastructure and getting the country and its people on a path to self-sufficiency. Development Guild consultants Karen Lieberman-Daly and Jenn Musso have been providing strategic and resident counsel. Several days a week, Jenn travels to DC to manage the major gift and foundation fundraising programs, support Board members as they work on behalf of IRD, and operationalize the Haiti fundraising effort. Recently, the firm launched a search for IRD's Chief of Advancement. We hope that very soon they will have a great new fundraising leader and a stronger infrastructure of their own.

Cushing Academy, located in Ashburnham, MA seeks three fundraising professionals to join their growing development office: Chief Development Officer, Senior Major Gifts Officer, and Director of the Annual Fund. Cushing Academy offers students an outstanding education integrating academics, athletics, and visual and performing arts. The school is currently preparing for a campaign to celebrate its 150th anniversary. The Chief Development Officer will be responsible for creating a strategic fundraising plan, leading and managing the campaign, and overseeing development staff. The Senior Major Gift Officer will develop and implement fundraising strategies for top prospects. The Director of the Annual Fund will plan and execute a comprehensive Annual Giving Program.
