Sajana draws on her strong relationship management skills to help nonprofits recruit the leaders they need to maximize their positive impact. Her client projects include Boston Harbor Now, Connecticut Children’s Foundation, Emerson College, Emily Dickinson Museum, Fairfield University, Mystic Aquarium, NewYork Presbyterian Hospital, Spoonfuls, Audubon Society of Rhode Island, and Wellesley College.

Before joining Development Guild, Sajana previously worked as an International Educator for over a decade at higher education institutions such as Fordham University and St. Lawrence University. After six years in her role as Assistant Director in Fordham’s Study Abroad office, Sajana transitioned to a front-facing fundraising position for the Fordham Fund. Before Fordham, Sajana was a Program Specialist for AFS-USA Intercultural Programs, where she worked on a diplomacy program sponsored by the Education and Cultural Affairs Bureau of the US Department of State.

A native Vermonter, Sajana, now calls New York City home. She serves as Co-brand Ambassador for The Authentic Asian professional network’s NY Region, and is an advisor to the Founder, CEO of the Inclusion Initiative, which closes the professional gap for adoptees and foster care alumni.  Sajana was also a founding board member for Active Plus, a small NYC-based nonprofit that reaches underserved adolescents through health, nutrition, and fitness. In her free time, you can find Sajana enjoying one of her many hobbies: traveling (she has visited five continents!), reading, tending to her garden, and spending time exploring museums, arts and culture, and restaurants.

Sajana holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a minor in African Studies from St. Lawrence University and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership from Fordham University.
