Misty Wilson

Director of Marketing Operations

As a member of our team, Misty draws upon her passion for transforming brands into inclusive, mission-driven communities that foster meaningful relationships and embrace forward-thinking visions. She is a creator and a builder who approaches marketing with creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex problems.

Prior to joining Development Guild, Misty drove B2B marketing strategies as a Digital Marketing consultant. Before that, she served as Director of Marketing for Greenbook, where she rejuvenated Greenbook’s 60-year-old brand to be more inclusive and forward-thinking. She has also held multiple positions at the American Marketing Association Triangle (Raleigh, NC), including President, Vice President of Communications, and Chief Operating Officer.

Misty received a bachelor’s degree in public relations and marketing at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Misty was named in the Top 50 Black Marketers by African American Marketing Association and recognized for Leadership Excellence by the American Marketing Association, among many other honors and awards. She currently sits on both the local and national board of the American Marketing Association, a nonprofit for which she has volunteered for over 8 years. In addition, she sits on the advisory committee for Communities in Schools, a nonprofit that partners with Wake County Public School System to improve students’ academic performance. She spends her free time playing with her pit/lab mix named Dexter, swimming, and exploring new places and restaurants.
